Pets Purest named Manchester’s fastest growing company

A Manchester-based pet supplements retailer, Pets Purest, has been named one of Britain’s fastest-growing companies in the Sunday Times 100 rankings. 

The company was started by husband-and-wife team Oliver and Evie Bristowe, with just £600 in 2017 when Evie’s family dogs were suffering from dry skin. 

Sales of its chemical-free treatments and all-natural dog and cat treats rose to £6.3m last year and have climbed 130.15% over three years. 

At the end of 2021, the new Wilmslow-based venture capital fund Fearless Adventures paid a “six-figure sum” for a minority stake. 

Jim Armitage, business editor of The Sunday Times said: “The Sunday Times 100 is our new-look annual celebration of the UK’s entrepreneurial achievements. 

“The founders of these exciting businesses are vital to job creators and innovators. The top 100 have performed exceptionally during the pandemic and show how some companies used the change to consumer and work habits to their advantage.”
