This suffering street dog had hidden himself away with an excruciating, swollen broken femur and a damaged spine.
We whisked him to our hospital but after medical treatment, including 6 weeks of bedrest, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, oodles of love and comfort, he still couldn’t stand.
We sadly assumed that Champ would live the rest of his life with permanently damaged hind legs in our area for paralysed dogs, friends with many other dogs who also suffered spinal cord damage. But time passed and a change took place which many of us would have said just wasn’t possible. A year after his rescue, meet Champ now!
