Former Fur Trader Bans Fur

Following pressure from PETA and grassroots activists, department store chain Hudson’s Bay confirmed that it no longer sells products made from animal fur, making the company’s entire portfolio of brands—including Saks Fifth Avenue and Saks OFF 5TH—completely fur-free! Gone are the days when Hudson’s Bay Company, a former fur trader, supported the fur industry, which electrocutes, gasses, poisons, or breaks the necks of millions of animals. We applaud it for joining Nordstrom, Macy’s, and hundreds of others that have banned fur—and we’re calling on LVMH to follow suit.
